By accessing or using BankBuddy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

BankBuddy is a personal finance tool that helps you analyze your spending by extracting and categorizing transactions from bank statement PDFs. We provide visualizations, insights, and subscription tracking to help you understand your finances better.

3. Account Registration

To use BankBuddy, you must:

• Sign in using a valid Google account
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
• Keep your account credentials secure

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload bank statements that do not belong to you without authorization
• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

5. Data Accuracy

BankBuddy uses automated parsing to extract transaction data from PDFs. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all transactions will be parsed correctly. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of extracted data. BankBuddy should not be used as the sole source for financial decisions.

6. Beta Service

BankBuddy is currently in beta. The service is provided "as is" and may contain bugs or errors. Features may change or be removed without notice. We appreciate your feedback as we continue to improve the product.

7. Intellectual Property

BankBuddy and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your transaction data remains yours.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BankBuddy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the app. Continued use of BankBuddy after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
